Location
Located in Florence, the Hotel Corona d’Italia 3 star is a hotel strategically located between the Convention Center (Palaffari and the Fortezza da Basso), the Duomo, and the Santa Maria Novella Central Station.
The perfect location of the Hotel Corona d’Italia allows the hotel guests to visit by foot all the major city landmarks, to stroll along Via Tornabuoni to renaissance landmark Palazzo Strozzi, or to enjoy some shopping in the elegant boutiques of the city center.
How to get there
By train
Hotel Corona d’Italia is approximately 200 meters away from the Santa Maria Novella central train station; all other train stations around the city, Firenze Rifredi and Firenze Campo Marte, may be reached by taking the city bus.
By plane
Florence’s international airport is 7 km from the hotel. To reach us, you can take a private taxi or the tram, which offers a 20-minute ride to Santa Maria Novella train station, located just 200 meters from the hotel.
By car
After exiting any highway ramp, proceed toward the city center by following the ring roads.
About halfway along Viale Spartaco Lavagni, turn onto Via Santa Caterina D’Alessandria and continue toward Piazza Indipendenza, then onto Via Nazionale. This is the only route that avoids cameras and reserved lanes.
Please note that Hotel Corona D’Italia is NOT located within a Limited Traffic Zone.

Facing Via dell’Ariento, the hotel is the ideal location for a tour of the most genuine gastronomic tradition of Tuscany; along this pedestrian way, you will find, in fact, the Central Market, where you will have the opportunity to taste and purchase quality products, such as the renowned olive oil, the doc-labelled wines of the Chianti region, and the tasty regional desserts.

At just a few steps from the hotel, you will find the monumental complex of San Lorenzo, official church and burying place of the Medici family, made notorious by the works of Michelangelo, Brunelleschi, Donatello and others.
